Moon Knight: Daniel Radcliffe Debunks Marvel Show Casting Rumors

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has officially debunked the rumors that he’s being considered to play Moon Knight for Marvel’s Disney+ series.

Daniel Radcliffe has officially debunked the rumors that he’s in the running for Marvel’s Moon Knight. It was previously reported that Radcliffe was being seriously considered for the lead role in the upcoming Disney+ series, which is one of many Marvel shows in development for the streamer. The first, The Falcon and the Winter Soldierwill arrive in August. Moon Knight has yet to score an official release date, but it’s currently expected sometime in 2021 with production beginning this summer.

Few details are known about Moon Knight at this point beyond the fact that Jeremy Slater (The Umbrella Academy) has been tapped to head the writers’ room. Like other Disney+ shows She-Hulk and Ms. MarvelMoon Knight will introduce a hero who has yet to be seen in a Marvel movie, but is expected to have roles in future MCU films. It’s unclear if the series will follow the character’s comic backstory, but if so, Moon Knight will follow Marc Spector, the son of a rabbi who is gifted powers by the Egyptian Moon God Khonshu.
